So you think you've been there, done that. You've tried windsurfing, parasailing, kiteboarding, hang gliding and scuba diving. But you still want more. Ever think about jumping over a canyon? That's right. A canyon. See yourself sailing through space over gulches and through trees high on the slopes of Haleakala. It's possible, and you don't need a motorcycle or the chutzpah of Evil Kneivel.

Skyline Eco-Adventures, based on Haleakala Ranch, is the first zipline tour company to operate in the United States. Since 2002 this award-winning tour has thrilled thousands of customers, quickly flying high up on the "Must Do" list of many adventurous Maui visitors.

If you don't know what to expect from this unique family adventure, we'll explain. First you'll be fitted to a custom seat harness which, following a short hike through the forest, will then be attached to an overhead zipline. You'll walk to the valley's edge, take a couple of steps into thin air and before you know it you'll land on the other side. You'll have the opportunity to repeat the process over five ziplines, each more exhilarating than the last. Throughout the tour your two Skyline guides will share interesting information about Hawaii's unique environment. You will walk about a half mile through the woods over the course of the tour, and in addition to the ziplines you'll cross an "Indiana Jones" style swinging bridge.

Skyline guides are adept in every aspect of the tour and practiced in all safety procedures. To participate, you must weigh between 80 and 260 lbs and be at least 10 years old. Reservations are highly recommended. To get to Skyline headquarters, take Highway 37 to Highway 377, turn left on Highway 378 (Crater Road) and drive two and a half miles to the red and white building on the left.
